House boating is the most relaxing way to spend a few days in Zambia. The activity is done in a far way area along the Zambian side of Lake Kariba .The place is vast and you will feel completely isolated from the rest of the house boaters on this enormous expanse of water. House boating offers precious and unique photographic opportunities, as you will be able to capture wildlife from a distance without disturbing the setting. Tie up your houseboat and venture on foot to a nearby game reserve or simply take a very short stroll on some of the scattered islands in the lake. The Zambian side of the lake is not crowded with other house boaters; in fact there are only a few boats that operate on this side. The sunsets and sunrises are spectacular.

Depending on your budget, you can decide to hire a luxury cruiser with cabins and crew to serve you in style, or take your own food, bring loads of friends and party ’till you drop since you have make your own  choice between cruisers and pontoons as the main categories of boats are rental. Luxury cruisers offer sleeping accommodation for up to 14 passengers and have a 4 member crew on board to serve your every need. Take in warm skies on the sun deck and enjoy the tranquil scenery and atmosphere around you.

On the lower deck are 3 cabins (one with double bed and en-suite bathroom) accommodating 6 passengers, 2 public toilets/showers, a lounge, a fully equipped kitchen with gas cooker, deep freezers and 220 volt electricity on-board.

There is also a large pool/sun deck with a fully operational Jacuzzi to cool off from the heat of the day.  On the upper deck is the Captain’s bar and a large comfortable lounge area. Day seating on the upper deck converts to sleeping accommodation at night (sleeping an additional 8 passengers), each bed is fully mosquito proofed with large walk-in type mosquito nets. More two tender boats are normally towed behind the houseboat for fishing and/or sightseeing. However, there are other extra, the bar and tender boat fuel which is charged according to usage
